Robin's Nest Farm
St. Johnsbury, VT

Kenny and Bev Robinson of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, were wed in 1963. For twenty years Kenny drove trucks, first for Mirriam Graves, and then for St Johnsbury Trucking.
"Thirteen years of long hauling was enough— around 1983 we started looking for something we could do that would give us more time together, " Kenny observes over coffee in their farmhouse kitchen.
Bev started raising calves in 1983 and two years later they had the beginnings of a herd that has become legendary in the Green Mountain State. Within five years their jerseys won Vermont's highest quality dairy award. That 1990 prize was just the first of many for this celebrated farm; they won again in '91, '93, and 1995, when governor Howard Dean proclaimed January 24 to be "Beverly and Kenneth Robinson Day in Vermont" in recognition of their "outstanding achievement and contribution to dairy farming."
The tradition continues. Kenny and Bev's grand-daughter, Ashley, is happy to show visitors around the barn, where countless awards from Cabot , Agrimark, and the state of Vermont are displayed among the jerseys that have become the standard for excellence in dairy that makes Cabot Cheese the world's Best Cheddar.
